If you have any coding expeirence at all, the game moves swiftly. The content allows a little bit of roaming around while still remaining unfrustratingly linear. There is a little bit of frustration invovled at time but the story on its own is fun. I’m curious what the next game stories will be about. I might play them, might not.

Hack RUN really forces you to put pieces together, making it more of a game of logic than a game of skill. The end turns a bit weird as far as describing why the events of the game had occured, but it was still extremely enjoyable.

This game is amazing. You feel like a real hacker, and with the new update, you don’t have to be online! You can just play it over and over again <3

I love games that challenge and this certainly did. However, you guys get the plus 5 stars for the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Reference when you type “hint” after you access Wanda’s system. I love it!

How do play this game?

So I loved Zork and those sorts of games back in the day and this game is very reminicient of those games. Most of the puzzles are fairly straight forward and the flow is fairly linear but to win the game requires a few leaps of brilliance. You can get the answers for a limited number of levels in the game or get a few hints which I certainly needed. I am very happy that I stumbled on to this game, knowing nothing about it. I was pleasantly surprised. While it is based around hacking into a series of computer systems you don’t really need to know anything about computers or programming. I know nothing so it was extra fun to have just a little bit of sql language thrown into the game, which got me to googling. I hope that future chapters push this aspect and combine education with game play. So no hot graphics and your imagination plays as important a role as what the game delivers to your screen but if you can stand not having everything spoon fed to you, this is a very enjoyable diversion. I can’t wait to check out the newer chapters. Definately worth a download.

This game stinks. It started out fun. It was great. But the further I got into it the more I couldn’t believe the kind of stuff that was on there. It was definetly not appropritate. Lots of bad stuff. It would talk about sleeping with people and things worse than that. Overall, the game itself is fun. But the content makes it terrible.

I admit, It took me about ten minutes to figure out the first three levels or so, but after you get the hang of the commands and the flow of the game it’s hard to put down! This is a great game and I am going to check out the others right away!

I couldn’t believe how challenging this game is! Great puzzles and it even includes hints and answers if you want them. Fantastic! I can’t wait to play the rest of the games in the series.

People are so obsessed with minecraft and angry birds but they fail to see the awesomeness in the simplicity of this game. It works your mind much harder than those other games and challenges you to think outside the box. I cant believe it was free for the holidays!! I already have it for my phone and ipad so I had to get it for the mac!!

This game is one of the few that I really enjoy on my laptop. It requires you to think and the layout is very realistic compared to an actual hacking program. Being free for the holidays is a great opportunity to get this game and will make you know what Hack Run Zero is about. I dont find anything that would be wrong with this game.

played for hours straight. this game has an amazing and different way of delivering the story. I haven’t played the other four yet but I will as soon as they are free

i really dont understand this game at all it looks and sounds fun, someone please tell me how to use this game the right way?!?!?!

Its fun, challenging, and realistic. If you always look in awe as “hackers” hack into major systems in big moves, wishing you knew how to do that too, you basically can. It’s a bit of a stumble at first, there are really no instructions and you have no idea what to do. After you start though, you get the hang of it, and you feel like you are really hacking! Whether going through peoples’s emails, guessing passwords, or discovring big secrets, you can be one of those cool hack people too. BUT HOW DO YOU GET TO LVL 10 I WATCHED THE VIDEO I DONT GET IT.

I really didn’t care for this. It is a fun puzzle and every thing, but its kind of weird, and difficult to tell whats real from whats fake. There is also some mildly innapropriate content. If they had wanted to, they could have worded some of that stuff differently, but they didn’t. Those are the things that really turned me off.

A novel aproach to interactive storytelling. It did give me the feeling of really hacking into organizations as I imagine now-a-days many hackers do just have their tools created for them. It’s mildly educational in the sense of exposing players to technical areas the could look further into for learning. It’s got some impressive plot twists. What I like the most about it is how adictive it is. There was always another slightly different puzzle to solve. I felt plenty of positive reinforcement. I just wanted to keep playing to completion. Very engaging and immersive. I also enjoyed the seemly open ended nature of some of the puzzles and yet there are various levels of hints and help available if you need them. I see in some of the later versions the hints become in-app purchases, even better. Great dynamic. It’s also fun to play in parallel with a friend.

I liked this game a lot. It is challenging! If you’re stuck on a level, just think of the most cliche answer for a password and you’ll get it everytime lol. #ThumbsUp
