This game was fun. I beat it all quickly in one sitting. But the plot twist is just weird, and honestly, quite stupid. The game is free so it’s totally worth it. But the story is lackluster and a bit disapointing.

I am not a gamer by any means, but I decided to play this and check it out. And I loved it. The story unfolds through people’s email that you have to ‘crack’ to get into. But it is much less tech savvy and much more human condition savvy (if that makes any sense). It is as much of a hacking game as it is a psychological game into the mind. It caught my attention and I thoroughly enjoyed the game and finished in one (3 hour) session.

The best code writing game ever! I do wish it had a bit more ease to it. I had gotten stumped a few times, got frustrated. I hate it I had to cheat some, I really did great, about 70% with out cheating. Like I said, I wish I didn’t turn to the Internet for assistance but, some of the levels are a bit confusing. It should have been hidden better to the point in the hack it gave a better clue than a basic, “hidden message on the website” I got real confused there. App still deserves 5 stars. But not going to get me to pay for the sequels. Thank You

level 39 is so confusing how do you even install the ufo i tryed everything if you fix this ill keep playing

I personally LOVED playing this game! It was challenging, but also entertaining. I just finished it, and I now have an interest in programming. I barely remember the DOS days of old, but this was definately worth playing!

Very fun game based around hacking into a big company using a terminal and some cool green letters. Looking for clues in other’s emails and using them to log into other’s emails, along with a story that actually is pretty interesting. Defenitely would check the game out, especially as it is free.

On the first impression the game looks complex, but once you read the instructions its quite simple and has a lot of backup help. The game stimulates a realistic terminal with several neat commands, I recommand this game if your a programmer or simply trying to get a hang of how everything works. Theres only a small bug I noticed, when I scroll along the virtual terminal the exit X button in the top right corner sometimes appears several times along the right border.

Absolutely fantastic game. Text-based "terminal"-style game. Absolutely addictive. Im just buying the second one now, the story-line is very interesting, and every time you advance a level, you get such a happy feeling!

i have played the demo and finished it, i like it but when i got to the full game i had to start from the beginning. i dont want to start from the begging, can you add a option to start from where you left of? add that and its 5 stars.

This game is very well done. Easy at the beginning but it become a little bit harder the more you dig through the game. I could feel like a real hacker. Just add one option: full screen. This would be awsome!

This game seems fun at first. It has a realistic design to it and makes you feel like a real hacker! However, it lacks fun and gets boring really fast! There is no story to it and somehow, the game always resets whenever you quit the game! There is no fun because you always have to type hint to advance. And even then it is hard so you just have to type answer. The basic point of this game is to hack into other peoples workstations and then you exit the workstations and hack into someone elses workstations. It gets boring fast! But I have to admit, it is pretty realistic. Almost like you’re hacking a real workstation! But I suggest you go fing a better game than this!!

This game was awesome, but i found it really easy as i play alot of these kind of games, so id love to see a second one with more difficulty and more commands

This game is really fun and challenging. I am already in to Hack run Zero (next game of hack run).

This game is by far one of the best games on the Mac App Store, or any for that matter. I played this game once on my phone and got into it, but that phone unfortunatley crashed. However, I recently re-downloaded it onto my LAPTOP and the game failed to deliver. Not a word of a lie, I played this game untill about 1 o’clock in the morning, no regrets. It is a very extensive game, the OS the developers simulated is awesome and very mentally stimulating. "10/10 - Like Skyrim with guns” IGN

This was a fantastic game! I am not by any means a computer genius or tech savvy, but the operational systems of the game allowed me to still play as though I was incredibly knowledgable. The puzzles also are very challenging and require some serious searching and attention to detail. Overall a great game, and worth the time put in to play. The worst part was when it was done!

Seriously, theres very little in the way of viable games of this platform anymore. Yes, the storyline became really corny just over halfway through, but it was FUN corny. Completely old school! Anyone who has a general idea how code works will grasp it easily. However, its not a walkthrough. You dont just follow instructions. The best part is, if you are REALLY stuck, you can look up the cheat in-game. Addicting! Once I started the game, I didnt want to stop until I was through! Totally blew the afternoon!

love the game. it was challenging. i do love the answer function you put in. there were parts that i had loads of trouble passing, but the answer function allowed me to continue. good job on the game. i beat it :)

I did not want to stop playing this game when I first started it up. I HAD to figure out everything and get to the end of things. You dont see many kinds of games like this out there but this one tops the charts for me.
